Mel saw her first sprit and ghost as a young child and has been interacting with them in various ways since then.  Her background is in the field of law enforcement, criminal justice and local history.  In addition to her career as a correction officer, she also served as a municipal historian for a number of years.  She has been consulted by private homeowners and successfully provided information about multiple hauntings and ghosts through her research.  Mel favors Mini Maglites for spirit communication, her favored method of evidence collection is through the use of digital recorders.

Paranormal Bio: Sam had her first paranormal experience at 5 years old. As she got older, she became interested in exploring what is beyond the physical world we live in. Sam joined NY Paranormal in 2020 after attending a public investigation, and has since participated in multiple investigations across the state. Her favorite piece of equipment is her voice recorder and dowsing rods. Outside of NY Paranormal, Sam is pursing a degree in nursing, enjoys gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.

I have several interests that I deal with the almost every day. I have a large UFO group that meets once a month locally. I am also a UFO researcher. I was “outed” by the New York Times on April 9th, 2021, as having been abducted by Off Worlders. I prefer to use that name rather than ET. I also dislike the word “abducted”, as I prefer the word “taken”, as I went willingly. I have been taken several times in the past. A Documentary is being made by two award winning New York City Professional Film Makers, who have been filming me and one of my members. He is a friend of mine in my UFO group. There are also four other abductees I have not met yet. I also enjoy researching and investigating the paranormal. I had my own active para group for over 10 years until I spotted a member cheating with her dowsing rods, also called divining rod and/or Spirit rods. She denied it until I showed her a photo I had taken of her hands. I disassembled that group and a friend and I have been doing requested house clearings of Spirits and/or Ghosts. We never send any Spirit into the Light without their consent. My own personal experience with one Spirit was in the early Fall of 2005, the day I moved into my home. It was with a Farmer from the year 1705, who owned the land my home sits on now. He, his wife and four teen sons lived here and farmed the land. They traded with the Native Indians who lived in the area at that time. There were no other with people in this area for another 40 years. They bartered with this group of six Seneca Indians. The farmer’s name was Edwin and he was often in my garage and/or across Culver Road at times where their house was. My garage was where his barn had been. He was here until 2019 when Edwin and his family left this world on New Year’s Eve Jan 1, 2019 at 1:00AM. When he told me he was going into the Light to join his wife and 4 teen sons and then re-incarnate to another part of this world. All of them had decided to re-incarnate together and that I would never see him again in this life. It was a sad week for me that followed. We spoke almost every day.

Amy Stornello has always had an interest in the paranormal, starting from when she was a little kid, voraciously reading ghost stories and watching horror movies. As an adult, simply watching paranormal TV shows wasn’t enough and started to seek out paranormal investigations on her own. When traveling for work or pleasure, she would try to sneak in a ghost hunt to her family and colleagues’ gentle ribbing on how “ghosts aren’t real”. But Amy’s intense curiosity about the unknown and what really happens when one departs this life makes her eager to continue to explore various haunted and historical locales! She also has no fear - because she’s hard of hearing - so those little noises people jump at, don’t faze her. So, she continues to look for more phantom experiences… She’s fortunate she’s visited some pretty well-known paranormal locations such as Gettysburg, Old Jail in Charleston, Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio and more. But she is still hoping to visit Waverly Hills Sanatorium, The Stanley Hotel, and any old castle in England sometime in the future and enjoys staying at haunted Bed & Breakfast/hotel locations!

Danielle recently started to explore deeper into her paranormal investigation interests after experiencing activity in homes that others did not. As a child, she had interests the ghost stories, but stayed clear from horror. As an adult, three personal residences have experienced some degree of activity, with the current being the most active. This renewed Danielle’s interest in learning more about her paranormal experiences and possible abilities.

I've been intrewsted in the paranormal since I was about 13 years old when weird thing were happening in my childhood home. Things jusy esclated from there doing things on my own to being in a few groups. I have to say, NY Paranormal is the best one yet! From the people I know who are awesome to the new ones I have not met yet. I have been to some really creepy and cool places. Still not liking basements too much but that's me, I guess I need to be scared of something.

Shawn comes by his interest in the paranormal naturally. A third-generation psychic medium, he learned at an early age that like his grandmother, he could see and communicate with spirits. Though he continued to have paranormal experiences as a teen and young adult, it wasn’t until the passing of his mother in 2008, that he began to take a deeper look at his abilities and how he could use them to communicate with those who have crossed over. Locally, Shawn has worked with the very talented Rev. Sue Fiandach, co-founder of The Purple Door Soul Source, where he has led the H.O.P.E.—Healing Others with Psychic Evidence Group since 2012. Additionally, Shawn volunteers his services with the prestigious Find Me Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping find missing people and providing evidence that helps solve crimes world-wide. Shawn is known for being able to handle all manner of paranormal and spiritual phenomenon, whether negative or benevolent in nature. As is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, he has performed many house blessings and spirit removals, citing his ability to connect with these energies without judgement or fear, as a key component to his success. He is often called in by other local paranormal groups to help with especially nasty energies. Shawn’s favorite thing about the work he does is that he gets to help people.

Sarah has had a lifelong interest in the paranormal field since the age of eight. When she started watching paranormal shows on T.V, she immediately knew she wanted to pursue researching the unknown. Her favorite pieces of equipment to use on an investigation are the K-2 meter and full spectrum camera. Sarah joined NY Paranormal in June of 2021.

Mary is an avid paranormal enthusiast. Having worked in the paranormal field for over 20 years, she brings with her a set of skills both scientific and spiritual. As a psychic/medium, Mary connects with source and spirit to be able to retrieve answers from the other side, while using science to confirm and/or debunk. From an early age, she’s used her psychic and mediumistic abilities to communicate with Spirit and deliver messages to others which later led into the paranormal community of helping others with their paranormal occurrences and understanding the other side. Mary is driven as a Lightworker to guide others in being of better service to Spirit, for themselves and the highest good of those around them. Her primary goal is to help others and bring an awareness to paranormal events that surround them. Offering hope and a peace of mind.
